The challenge
The sudden increase in demand for fine cashmere shawls since the 90’s has given rise to many counterfeits and blends making it almost impossible to distinguish between the actual and fake. Plus in spite of the demand, very little has trickled down to the nomads and artisans who are the back bone of this industry.
Our vision
pink maharani envisions to offer the finest and most exquisite 100% handwoven cashmere shawls that are ethically produced. We care for the goats dearly and empower the artisans to make sustainable livelihoods. Our mission is also to educate the consumers of the painstaking work and love that goes into making pink maharani products.
Our approach
pink maharani is the house of the finest handwoven cashmere which closely works with the artisans and small families to completely handmake its product. In order to further our commitment and impact, we also directly adopt and sponsor two children projects in India. See our projects
