Our limited collection of mufflers (thin scarves) and stoles are woven from a rare breed of Suri alpaca, producing the finer fleece which is naturally long and silky with hardly any crimp. Among the two breeds of Alpaca in existence, the Huacaya and Suri, Suri alpaca’s account only for 17% of the total population making attaining the raw fleece challenging and finite. This finite scarf collection in bright autumn colors are woven in a set-up nestled away in the mountains of Peru by a family-run enterprise, providing local employment and long-term sustainable livelihood for the families in the harsh mountain terrains. Another interesting fact, alpaca fiber is eco-friendly, naturally water-repellent, durable, warmer than wool, and has no lanolin.
