Among the two breeds of Alpaca in existence, the Huacaya and Suri, Suri alpaca’s account only for 17% of the total population making attaining the raw fleece challenging and finite.
This finite scarf collection in bright autumn colors are woven in a set-up nestled away in the mountains of Peru by a family-run enterprise, providing local employment and long-term sustainable livelihood for the families in the harsh mountain terrains.
Another interesting fact, alpaca fiber is eco-friendly, naturally water-repellent, durable, warmer than wool, and has no lanolin.
